Meet Ziva!
Ziva is an 8-year-old sweetheart who proves that the best companions are often the calmest ones. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal best friend who enjoys the simple things in life, Ziva may be your perfect match.
This lovely girl is incredibly easygoing and non-reactive to just about everything. Birds, squirrels, cats, other dogs, and even fireworks barely earn a second glance from her. She's made several dog friends in the neighborhood and enjoys polite canine companionship. Her only "opinion" is about the doorbell—it definitely gets her attention!
Ziva is both house-trained and crate-trained, but she much prefers the comfort of a soft bed in the same room as her people. She loves being close to her family and is happiest simply sharing your space while you go about your day. One thing you'll never have to worry about is her getting on the furniture—she politely keeps all four paws on the floor. However, if a trash can is left within reach, she may decide it's worth investigating, so keeping the lid secure is a good idea!
While she can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly once she knows you're a friend. Her gentle nature shines through in everything she does, and she consistently receives glowing reviews from her groomer for being such a well-mannered girl.
Ziva isn't looking for grand adventures—she's perfectly content with leisurely strolls around the neighborhood, followed by relaxing at home. She enjoys retrieving tennis balls and has a few favorite squeaky toys that always bring a smile to her face.
She's still learning basic commands, but she's eager to please and highly treat-motivated, making training a fun bonding experience. She already knows "sit" and is ready to keep learning with a patient family.
If your idea of the perfect companion is a calm, affectionate dog who will quietly keep you company, follow you from room to room, and love you with her whole heart, Ziva is ready to meet you. She's a truly good girl who deserves a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and the people she loves.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
