Meet Shakira! She's about 45lbs and is likely 1.5 years old. We estimate she's a Belgian/ German shepherd mix. She is just the sweetest gal with the perfect blend of playful, sweet, submissive, and cuddly energies. We don't know her history or how she lived her first 1.5 years of life but she's so trusting and loving of all humans (adults and kids), dogs, toys, and treats.
Shakira is potty trained, walks well on a leash and loves to go on long walks. She is also smart as a whip! She learns tricks in less than 5 minutes and even knows how to bury her food under her bed so her foster brother and sister can't steal any. She would love so much to be your forever running buddy, Netflix and chill companion, and dog park +1. You can't find a better easy going family dog than sweet Shakira.
Shakira was saved from being euthanized from a high kill shelter due to space no fault to her. Shakira is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her shots. Shakira is heart warm positive which is very treatable and would need a home foster to adopt until she finishes treatment she can be adopted.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
