Meet Jack: Your New Best Friend!
Jack is a loyal, intelligent, and loving German Shepherd who would make the perfect companion for the right family. Whether you're up for a long walk, a short run, or just lounging on the couch, Jack is happy to join you. He's excellent on a leash and enjoys exploring the outdoors, but he's equally content relaxing indoors with his favorite chew toy or snuggling by your side on a quiet day. Jack is fully potty trained and will gently let you know when it's time for a bathroom break. He's a people-oriented pup and thrives when he's near his humans. While he's still learning to feel completely comfortable in his crate, he's made significant progress and is eager to please.
What Makes Jack Special:
- Smart & Attentive: Jack is highly intelligent and quickly picks up on cues, making him a joy to train and interact with.
- Cat-Friendly: Jack has a gentle demeanor around cats and loves curling up next to them for naps.
- Dog-Social: He gets along well with the female dogs in his foster home and enjoys playful interactions.
- Toy Lover: Every day, Jack carefully selects his favorite toy and carries it to his special spot—it's his adorable daily ritual.
While Jack is a sweetheart, he does have some separation anxiety and prefers to be around his people as much as possible. Because he's still learning how to manage his size and excitement during anxious moments, he would do best in a home with adults or older children. Jack is looking for a family that understands his need for companionship and can provide him with the love, patience, and structure he deserves. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this amazing boy, Jack is ready to be your loyal sidekick for life.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
