Freya is a gorgeous silver sable German Shepherd with the softest ears and the sweetest temperament you will find! She really does want to please! She is a joy to work with because she wants so very much to make you proud of her. Freya is still very much a puppy; she loves toys and playing and would be a good match for a house with older kids she can't knock down with her exuberance. She still gently nibbles on hands and feet but has played with kids aged 8 and up and loves them. She will grow out of this behavior as she matures.
Freya is a medium-energy shepherd. A daily walk and some yard playtime and she is good to go; she isn't a dog you have to constantly wear out to make them easy to live with. Once she has had her exercise she is happy to lie on the floor or couch with you. But she will keep you in stitches with her antics!! She loves to carry items around and play with them, tossing them up in the air and batting them with her paws. Her food bowl, her toys, your shoes... she won't chew it but if she can pick it up, she's going to find a way to play with it! Freya is on the submissive side and gets along very well with other medium and large dogs. She would do well with another dog to play with. If you meet her she will steal your heart!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
