Meet Flute, a lovable 3-year-old. She’s a medium-sized goofball with the confidence of a top-dog. She loves to keep an eye out for your safety, take ladylike leash walks, and carry her toys around. But what she loves most is to be close to her person. She’s friendly with people and quick to share her heart.
Her playful, puppy-like stubbornness makes you laugh because it’s just so cute! When she gives you that look, you know she’s thinking, “Are you sure you want me to come over right now? I’ve got a comfy spot over here!”
Flute is oblivious to what her paws can do when she reaches out for attention, so she’s probably best in a home without small kids. With her canine friends, her play style can be a little rough and rumble. She’s known to challenge the pack hierarchy, perhaps because she’s looking for her permanent place in the world. For this reason, we think she would settle best in a home with no other dogs, or with submissive dogs who don’t mind her German-style Napoleon complex.
Her curiosity is catlike, so watching her explore the world will bring you joy. She’ll gladly rest at your feet while you work from home, watch TV or make dinner. When you’re on the move, she’s right behind you. She is looking for someone to be the center of her world. If you think she’s looking for you, please reach out to learn more about this adorable girl!

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
