Fabio is 100% good boy! He is very calm for a GSD of his age but still absolutely enjoys wrestling with his brother, Fabian who is with the same foster home. He has become best friends with the senior resident dog because he is fully respectful of her boundaries.
He has beautiful honey colored eyes, and you can see how grateful he is to be in a safe and comfortable place when he gazes at you.
This boy is very tall and can easily grab items off the counters. He would benefit from an owner that can work with him on this.
Fabio was likely an outdoor dog before coming to AGSR and he has bald tips at the end of his ears from the elements. He thinks it makes him look quite distinguished! He knows how to sit and give you his paw. He prefers to keep one paw on you at all times so make sure you aren’t leaving him. He is fully crate trained and likes to use his kennel for quiet time during the day. He exhibits no separation anxiety, noise phobia, or destructive behaviors. He really is this perfect!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
