Ebony is fiercely loyal and the sweetest girl you will meet. She is a pure black, six and a half year-old German Shepherd. She loves walks and car rides, is housebroken, and crate-trained. She has no issues being groomed or having her nails clipped.
She enjoys a grain-free diet and loves treats. Feed Ebony once and she is yours forever. Don’t worry, she won’t beg for your food. She does have seasonal allergies, and takes allergy medicine with Greenies pill pockets.
Ebony loves belly rubs and lounging around. She knows several commands (sit, lay down, wait for food) and knows not to go in the kitchen. She is great around children and loves meeting new people. Ebony is nervous around other dogs, so her foster is getting trained at The Canine Center for Confindence Building.
Ebony gets anxious when her foster leaves and when waiting at the vet office. Once the vet sees her, she becomes at ease. Ebony is extremely well behaved and won’t go on furniture. She is the easiest dog to walk and wants to make sure you are always nearby. Ebony is absolutely a gentle soul, but all animal interactions must be monitored.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
