Ronny is a big boy and one looker of a German Shepherd. Nothing is known about his past life. Ronny came into our care underweight, skittish, and distrustful. In just a short period of time we earned his trust. Ronny is now healthy and happy, housetrained, current on vaccinations, and neutered. Ronny loves to snuggle with his human and loves affection, always eager to play.
Ronny seems like he might be a classic working line GSD. He is still a growing puppy and shows a strong motivation to learn. He could probably be trained to do just about anything. He is still quite mouthy and likes to jump. He has already made progress in curbing this but his new owner will need to continue working on it. I must emphasize, this boy is FULL of energy and it's important he go to a home where he'll have an outlet for this. Ronny is good on the leash and is completely house broken. He loves to go for rides in the car and he is obsessed with the frisbee. He is friendly with our smaller special needs dog and has never shown any aggression. He is a bit of a cat chaser but is easily redirected and could perhaps be taught to respect them. All in all, Ronny is pretty much a blank slate and ready for the right owner to show him how to be a model companion.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
