Hi my name is Sampson and I am a very handsome, smart and young boy with loads of personality and energy. I love to play with my foster brother who is also a German Shepherd. Within my first week of being with my foster parents, I have learned to sit, walk on a leash quite well and to abide by most of the house rules. I love my new GSD foster brother and we have become best friends and play really well together. I have not been introduced to cats or small children yet, but my foster mom thinks that due to high energy level that I need to be around bigger children. It's just because I am still a puppy and don't realize that I'm already a big boy.
When I arrived at my new foster home I was a bit underweight, but my new routine includes eating two meals a day and I allow my foster mom to interact with me while I eat. My favorite part of the day is my outings in the morning and going to the park where I have met lots of new friends. When I am tired I like to go to my crate for a rest where I sleep all night and then my foster mom lets me out first thing in the morning. I will go to the back door and put my nose on the door handle when I need to go out and potty, but I'm still young and I do need to be let out often.
I am very excited to find my new forever home where I can continue to learn new tricks and develop my personality. If you think I'm the boy for your family, then please put in an application for me. Merry Christmas Everyone!!!!!!
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
