Roxie is a 4-5 yr old sweetie. She is completely house trained and crate trained and very human focused. When you are home, she just wants to be with you. She is very calm, but has plenty on energy when it is time to play. She is athletic and loves to play fetch and can catch the ball or frisbee in mid air and will bring it right back for more. She gets along with other dogs and is dominant on her turf. Introductions to other dogs must be handled slowly at first, but once she gets acquainted she is just fine. It is unknown if she is cat friendly. She will bark at strangers entering your premises and she has a good healthy bark that is intimidating, but she has never shown aggression toward people. She walks great on a lead, but has a tendency to get distracted and sometimes will pull. She knows how to sit, lay and stay very well. She is super smart and learns very quickly and is eager to please. If you want a true companion, Roxie is your beautiful loving girl.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
