Hi all!! This amazing guy is looking for an active person or family to call his own! Neutered male, DOB 4/28/2022, so will be 3 this coming April. I think he would be phenomenal for someone who wanted a companion to do dog sports with! I have not tested him with water yet so not sure about dock diving, but could easily see him doing rally, obedience, agility, scent work, fast cat, barn hunt etc. He is a super fast learner. The short story is I took him and a sibling in after they were found in my area. After this adventure of trying to locate these babies current owners, it’s looking like they are looking for a new safe, wonderful, loving family. If anyone is interested in giving this amazing guy a WONDERFUL home, please reach out! Or if you know anyone who might make a good fit, please feel free to share. I know and love this breed and want to make sure the new owners will be a good fit and that something like this does not happen to them again. I’m working on various commands with them and they are picking things up quickly. They supposedly grew up with children and have been awesome around my child so far, but children should always be respectful of dogs and not left alone unattended, especially when you don’t know a dog’s full history. I have not introduced them to my dogs yet but they did not bark or lunge at dogs they saw at the vet so I am hopeful that will not be an issue. I am offering to pay for a round of private lessons with my trainer I work with locally to encourage the best start for this guy’s new life, but may have to figure something different out if someone outside of my area wants to adopt him. This can all be discussed! Please reach out if you would like to know more about Lobo!

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
