Meet Jane who is very human focused and when called will run to you full sprint for affection. Jane enjoys getting love and attention from humans, and will take treats softly from your hand. Prior to rescue she was kept outside with little interaction with other dogs and humans. Because of this we feel she never had anyone who played ball with her or give her toys based on her lack of interest in both. Just in a short time of introducing these activities to her she is beginning to show interest by running after the ball when you throw it. Jane loves to run, get massages and pets all over her body. Her eyes tell you just how thankful she is to have someone show her how it feels to be truly loved. Just a little bit of interaction filled with love goes a long way with Jane.
Her beautiful Brindle coat has lots of red, black, gray which is just as colorful as her loving personality. It takes her awhile to warm up to other dogs so introductions should be slow. Jane knows some basic obedience commands however will need additional training once adopted to help her become a well rounded, balanced girl which will make her know she has a purpose in life and deserves to be happy. We are looking for an active family with German Shepherd Experience who will include Jane in all activities and allow quality time with her humans. We feel Jane is house trained because she has not had any accidents while in our care. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, micro chipped, and in good health. She is a lovely girl who is going to make someone a wonderful companion.
NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.
