Randi was walking around my work place when I saw her. She was very weak, emaciated, tired, and hungry. After offering her water and feeding her for two weeks, she finally came up to me. I took her immediately to the vet office for an examination where she stayed for a week and was given fluids to get her body back in balance.Randi had infected eyes, infected ears, hook and tape worms, along with a stopped up colon. Poor girl had been on her own for quite sometime. Radiographs were done to ensure there was not a blockage. This is all behind her now and we are looking for a special home who will love her unconditionally and give her the sweet life she has always deserved. Now that she feels safe, Randi is becoming very playful and is a totally sweet girl just needing to find her forever loving home. Randi is a sweet girl who is beginning to want to play now that she feels safe and is receiving the nutrients she has been deprived of for so long. Randi is current on vaccinations but will still need to be spay and the vet has started her on Doxycycline to help treatment of heartworms. The vet bill was almost $1000 but she is worth every cent. I have set up a You Caring donation page to help her adopter pay for her heartworm treatment and spay. She is a beautiful girl who just wants to please and be part of family.

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.

The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' direct experiences with the dog. The dog's age is an estimate, and statements about the state of health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, is estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different.
