Hi everyone - well another month has passed since I've been with my foster family and I am growing big! Mom guesses I'm about 70 pounds now. I am super smart and would love a family who would take me to training classes. I'll bet I'd be the top of my class! Everyone who meets me says what a sweet dog I am, and I just love having kids pet me. Mom said I should tell you that I'm house trained but I think that is embarrassing - I told her that of course everyone would know that because I'm not a baby anymore. I sleep in my crate at night and during the day love to play chase with my GSD brother and sister. Interested? Meet me at the next Meet and Greet or fill out an application. Your friend, Darcy

Hi everyone – mom said I should update my information since I have now been here for a couple weeks. I am doing just great! I’m gaining weight, learning commands, and having lots of fun playing with the resident GSD’s. My “puppy check up” shows that I’m now at 65 pounds and the vet thinks I’m a GSD/Belgian Malinous mix. Everyone at the vet’s office loved me and told me what a good dog I was – even when I got my nails clipped. I love meeting people and at a Meet and Greet had lots of fun saying hello to the other dogs. I would to meet you!

Hi, my name is Darcy and I’m looking for a forever family! My foster mom said to tell you that I am sweet, smart and sleek. A beautiful, black GSD with boundless energy. I love playing with the two resident GSD’s and they tolerate all my puppy foolishness, like biting their feet and stealing their toys. I’ve met the neighborhood children and loved getting petted by them. There is a lot for me to learn, like “off the couch” and “stay”. I’m learning house manners very quickly and would really love some puppy obedience classes. At night I sleep quietly in my crate. I am a happy, healthy puppy just waiting for an active family to take me for walks and car rides – both of which I love. Won’t you come meet me?

NOTE: In our experience many German Shepherd Dogs are very good with kids. In our bios, we may provide information on our experience with a particular dog and children. However AGSDR discourages ALL unsupervised animal/child interaction. Children should be supervised at all times when they interact with ANY animal, whether it is a horse, dog, cat, bunny, lizard, or any other species. Even loving household pets can have a grumpy day, or otherwise get tired of a child's attention, so proper supervision is essential for the well being of any child and any pet.

The entire biography of this dog is based solely upon our volunteers' experiences with the dog. The dog's age and weight are estimates, and statements about the health, temperament, training, and ability to get along with other animals, children, cats and other dogs, are estimated solely based on our volunteer's experiences with this dog. Your experiences with this dog may be quite different than those of our volunteers.
